the 7.5 million cap hit on a team with no cap space just makes it seem undo-able
I don't think Columbus would be interested in Brassard back, and realistically, his cap hit would need to be gone for this even to remotely have a chance and that's even if the Rangers are interested, which I really doubt |

why are they tired of him?
I know the guy makes 7+ mil but 11 pts in 16 gp is not that horrible |

Looks like Sather made a great trade. Why look back? We have assets that can be moved if necessary and they have Gaborik and his contract. |

Gabby started to falter in NYC. Unless Dubi was the reason he was doing so in NYC and continues to in CB, i doubt he'll be any better if he came back.. Dubi seems to be flourishing and I can see him being named Captain of that team soon. Only way I take Gabby back is CB retains salary and for a 2nd round pick. I think he's just showing that his body wasn't made to take the stress of the nhl |

I'll always respect Gaborik when I think of him as a Ranger. He was one of the few guys that signeda contract and live up to it for the most part. On this team, he just doesn't have a place. He will be teaded and I think he'll help whatever team deals for him.
Reading Glen's comment on the previous blog, I would be ok with Thomas Fleischman. He's a good depth player capable of scoring 20-25 goals. Obviously Moulson and Cammalleri to my mind too. |

Agree on latter, didn't include that here as wanted focus to mainly be on Gaborik, but those options make sense.
No way Dubi goes anywhere, he is quickly becoming the heart-and-soul of that team. |

Of course, the Flyers finally look like an NHL on ice operation, the last few days, perfect time.
Wonder where he was before their recent tiny resurgence. |

Don't read too much into it; I am sure the Rangers want no part of Gaborik again. |

And like I said earlier that shoulder surgery stole his quick release, his speed and that release were how he became an elite goal scorer, he is welcomed back at a reduced rate next season but he's not a viable option this season |

Jan Levine: If Gaborik is Available, Would You Favor a Reunion?
Can you go home again? - airjan23
Chris Stewart would be a nice fit. I think he has been struggling this year. I actually think he has that every other year skill, similar to Gaborik but is the power forward some of the posters mentioned about getting. |

I would love Christ Stewart, scores, fights, hits, tough, stands in front of the net. He's perfect for what this team lacks. Sather make it happen. |
